Borzois and our Art

Hello, my name is Ksenia Galantsan. I was born in Russia, in the city of St. Petersburg, I have been living in Israel for 25 years...

When I was 12, my mother and I walked past a park near our apartment in St. Petersburg and saw him... His Majesty the BORZOI...

From that moment our lives changed... Borzoi became an integral part of our lives and constant models of creativity. My mother and I (and today together with my daughter) are artists. My mom is a painter, I do computer graphics, logo design, create advertising and always draw our beloved Borzois. Back in school, all my notebooks were covered with heads or silhouettes of Borzois flying like birds.

Today I create logos for other dog kennels, design graphic and web advertising, come up with exclusive graphics for branding T-shirts, bags, cups and other souvenirs, create images for laser cutting of signs and prepare graphics for metal cut for fence fragments. Also I draw digital portraits of dogs.

Both my mother and I are graduates of the St. Petersburg Art School named after Roerich. I graduated from the graphic design department, and my mother, Rushina Kharina, graduated from the icon restoration and oil painting department. All these years she has been painting in oils and acrylics; she has participated in exhibitions in St. Petersburg and her works are in private collections. She has been living in Israel for the last 3 years.

My daughter Mia is 17 years old and of course, born into a love of art and Borzois, she is completely immersed in all our art projects and helps with everything. Mia is also interested in photography, photographs our dogs both in staged art sessions and makes professional photo reports from exhibitions. Lately, Mia has also started drawing Borzois and more, she is looking for her own approach and style, this makes us very happy.

Since 2021, I have registered the Borzoi kennel in Israel “Celestial Royalty” with the FCI and IKC (Israeli Kennel Club). Today we have the second and third generations of Borzois born in our house and, of course, our veterans, the founders of the kennel, are also with us. We successfully exhibit Borzois of our breeding at exhibitions in Israel. Over the course of 5 years, our Borzois have won the title of Top Borzois in Israel, and for 4 of these years these dogs have already been bred by us. Of course, other equally worthy offspring of our kennel always occupy top positions in this list and at exhibitions in Israel.
